MRS. EMILIE LUKOSCHAT, of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Mr. Simon Lukoschat, passed away in her sleep to her final rest on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at the age of 99 years.
The youngest of 6 siblings (Martha, Adela, Adolf, Eduard, Albert), Emilie was born near Griskabudis, Lithuania October 10, 1910 to Julianna and Alexander Krohm. Emilie immigrated to southern Alberta with her husband, Simon, in 1949.
Gardening was Emilie’s passion. Spring, summer and fall, family and friends could always expect to find her busy tending her garden, which she successfully planted and harvested into her 96th year.
Her home was always a welcoming place. Her generous and loving nature leaves a lasting legacy.
Emilie is survived by numerous nephews, nieces and their families.
The family extends a very sincere thank you to the staff of St. Michael’s Health Centre and to Sr. Caroline Lahey.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between 7 PM and 9 PM, on Friday, July 16, 2010, at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 – 4th Street, South, Lethbridge, AB.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1 PM, on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at CHRIST TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 416 – 12 Street, South, Lethbridge, with Pastor Jason Anderson officiating.
Interment to follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
