| MRS. CATHERINE TUCKWELL of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Mr. Lloyd George Tuckwell, passed away at the Edith Cavell Centre on Thursday, January 28, 2010 at the age of 97 years.
Catherine was born on March 27, 1912 in Calander Perthshire, Scotland to parents Dougal and Annie McKillop. She came with her parents to Canada in May of 1924 and resided in the Lethbridge area. Catherine was mainly raised and educated in the Fort Macleod and Kipp areas, where she remained until she moved to Lethbridge in 1941 and married her husband Lloyd at the St. Augustine’s Anglican Church. Catherine worked at the Edith Cavell Care Centre until her retirement, she remained in Lethbridge until her passing.
Besides her loving husband Lloyd, Catherine was predeceased by her parents Dougal and Annie McKillop; sisters Sophie in 1984, and Susan in 1994.
Catherine is survived by her sisters Margaret Bowen of Lethbridge and Patricia McKillop of Edmonton; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm, on Tuesday, February 2, 2010, at the MARTIN BROS. FUNERAL CHAPELS, 610 – 4 St., S., Lethbridge, Alberta, with Reverend Hugh Jack, officiating. Cremation to follow.
