| MRS. JUNE OBER of Coaldale, beloved wife of Mr. Bob Ober, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on Friday, January 8, 2010 at the age of 70 years.
June was born on June 14, 1939 in Lethbridge to Edna Gotzy and Jim Smith. June was schooled in Lethbridge and after raising her family pursued a career in real estate. She was an avid gardener, a talented artist and an interior decorator. June enjoyed antiquing and scrapbooking and had terrific culinary skills. June, who was a people person, loved to travel and also had a strong passion for all animals. Her zest for life and charismatic presence will be missed by all.
Besides her loving husband Bob, June is survived by her daughter Raina Henriksen, son Darren Ober, grandchildren Dena Henriksen and Justin Ober, sister Doris McAllister, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her parents Edna Gotzy and Jim Smith and brothers Ken and Bob Allen.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at SOUTHMINSTER UNITED CHURCH, 1011 – 4 Ave South, Lethbridge, AB with Reverend Lois Punton officiating.
